Well Habit Coaching
Hi, I’m Eva
Navigating Wellness with Eva
Beginning in the 1980s as a physiotherapist and rehabilitation consultant, I discovered the transformative power of ‘wellness’, long before I even knew it was a word. I worked as a rehabilitation consultant with injured workers, as a physiotherapist preventing injuries in factories and ran chronic pain management groups for the long term injured. These experience ignited my passion for helping others through wellness and led me into the world of health education, healthcare design and wellness coaching.
With personal experiences in overcoming chronic pain and health challenges through a lifestyle approach, I’ve spent the last 15 years practicing and teaching wellness coaching. I also developed a pioneering university Wellness Coaching course at RMIT University in 2010. i have been running the Well Habit social enterprise for the past 8 years and have developed tools, strategies and written activity books that support peoples journey to wellness without a coach.
A key area of expertise in my health and wellness coaching is helping those dealing with the complexities of multiple illnesses and corresponding multiple medications. I advocate for finding doctors who support safe de-prescribing and integrating natural, lifestyle-based approaches to health together with a healthy empowered mindset.
Through my diverse background in health education, environmental science, filmmaking, and community radio, I bring a unique perspective to wellness. My goal is to guide clients in crafting a balanced, healthy life, emphasizing personalized care and sustainable wellness habits.

Autoimmune diseases are unique and complex, varying greatly from person to person. In our sessions, I focus on creating a personalized strategy that is supporting you in your specific needs.
Building Knowledge and Skills: We’ll work together to enhance your understanding of lifestyle changes that can help reduce inflammation and alleviate symptoms. This involves learning about and addressing potential environmental triggers and dietary intolerances that may be affecting your health.
Dietary Adjustments for Better Health: A key part of our approach is experimenting with an anti-inflammatory diet. This may include cutting out processed foods, gluten, dairy, nightshades, or lectins to see what positively impacts your symptoms.
Setting Realistic Goals: To ensure lasting change, we’ll employ a strategy I call “SMART-ASS” goal setting. This approach helps us define clear, measurable, and achievable goals. We focus on small, manageable steps to make these changes not just possible, but also appealing and sustainable for you.
With this personalized approach, we aim to empower you with the tools and strategies you need to effectively manage your autoimmune condition. Let’s work together to create a healthier and more comfortable life for you.

Feedback from My Clients
Step 1: Get to Know Yourself
If we want to go somewhere, we need to know where we are, and to where we are going. So the first step in your coaching journey is to know where you are. The Well Habit Quiz is a simple tool for you to gain insight into where you are on a range of 25 wellness skills.
Take the quiz and see what comes up for you. Consider your strengths and your challenges. Are there some areas you may want to start making small changes to start on your wellness journey. There are more extensive versions of this quiz in our activity books.
Step 2: Effective Online Coaching
I am available for coaching online via video or phone. Evidence has shown that the online coaching or telephone coaching is at least as effective as face to face coaching. I have been working in this way for the past 5 years with a leading Australian life insurance company dedicated to bringing best practice coaching to their injured and chronically ill clients. There are several advantages such as:
1. Feel more comfortable speaking from your own home or work place
2. Avoid the obstacles of travel if there are time constraints, distance, illness or disability.
3. It can also allow more trust and openness, by avoiding the self consciousness that sometimes emerge in face to face meetings
Step 3: Get Ongoing Support
There are many ways to be supported beyond individual coaching. Peer to peer support is an excellent way to accelerate the process of wellness. By becoming connected to others facing similar challenges, you learn from others, you learn about the different ways people approach things, resources are shared and through open dialogue problems solved. Learning to listen well, to share with an open heart and to become connected to a community is not just great for your wellness, it is a skill for a greater life.
